What is Napaland?
”Napa” in Finnish means a pole – the North pole, the South pole, magnetic pole creating Northern lights, even the Arctic Circle in Finnish is the “Napa” circle. It is a word of great variety, because Napa can also mean the center of the universe – or your own bellybutton!
Napaland is our own world drawing all of this together. It represents our love for the Arctic regions, as well as the importance of one’s own experience in exploring and enjoying the world. We are specialised in sailing, kayaking, hiking and photography expeditions to Iceland, East-Greenland, North Atlantic Islands and the Baltic Sea.

Our healthy, human-powered activities on board are suitable for outdoor lovers of any age and skill level.

Do you dream of being an explorer? We are experienced in Arctic expeditioning and love to sail to new areas. We have decades of experience in exploring Iceland, East Greenland, North Atlantic and the Baltic Sea
Our expedition sailing boat Byr is a great basecamp for the skiers, mountaineers, hikers, bikers, swimmers, divers, trail runners and kayakers, where a hot dinner and a warm bed is waiting for the adventurers at the end of the day.

During the voayges we stay on board our seaworthy ship Byr, who has comfortable accommodation space for groups of 10 guests.
Napaland is not any specific place. We do not necessarily travel a long distance to get there, it is a journey we make within ourselves.
